Alerts are basically instantaneous notifications necessary for efficient operations. Kubera Director provides alerts with the summary and severity of the issue and also provides us with the ability to view and manage the alerts.
In Kubera Director, alerts are configured on the basis of metrics and logs. Given below some of the pre-configured alerts in Kubera Director.


To know more about the alerts that have been generated, go to the "Alerts" section inside the cluster.
The list displays detailed information about all the alerts that have been generated. Alerts can be filtered on the basis of whether they are Unacknowledged, Acknowledged or on the basis of when they were generated.
To acknowledge an alert click on the checkbox next to the Alert and Click on
Apart from viewing Alerts and Alert Rules, Kubera Director allows customizing the generation of an alert.
Kubera Director allows you to select the rules that can generate an alert. To enable or disable click on View Rules. This displays the alert rules that are currently active or inactive. These can be viewed on the basis of the component they are related to for eg. Node, Volume, Pool or Others.
To Disable a rule click on the symbol next to the rule(under Active Rules).
To Enable click on the symbol next to the rule(under Inactive Rule).
NOTE: The generated alerts are based on the alert rules described earlier. To view the rule that an alert is associated with these alerts click onicon on the left. Then, click on View Rule, this adds up a row below the selected alert describing Rule Name, Type, Severity and Parameter.
